Surgery

At Dove Valley Animal Hospital we perform many different types of surgery. We focus on anesthetic safety and pain management to ensure that your pet is as comfortable as possible. Anytime your pet is under anesthesia at Dove Valley Animal Hospital, they will have one doctor and at least one highly trained technician monitoring your pet at all times. We monitor your pet's blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and carbon dioxide levels throughout surgery. Pre-operative blood work, IV catheters and IV fluids are also recommended to increase safety during surgery. Your veterinarian will discuss these anesthesia options during the admission appointment.
